Actress Lorraine Bracco and Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone to Help Launch New Bloomberg Office in Hauppauge

HAUPPAUGE, NY – The presidential campaign for former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced the opening of a new campaign office in Hauppauge, with special guests Actress Lorraine Bracco, and recently re-elected Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone expected to address supporters at the event.

The Bloomberg campaign is not in the business of mincing words when it comes to its strategy going forward in New York State. The brief, delegate-rich stop on the way to the White House “will become a very, very important place for us to continue [the] momentum after super Tuesday,” John Cavelli, the state director for the Bloomberg campaign told The Buffalo News. “We’ll have offices from Hauppauge to Buffalo, from Plattsburgh to Binghamton, literally covering the state,” Cavelli added.

Bellone, who announced his endorsement for for the former mayor back in December, presides over what the New York Post describes as a “key-swing county in the state.”

In 2016, Suffolk County overwhelmingly voted in favor of current President Donald J. Trump while in 2012, the county swung blue and helped deliver a decisive victory to former President Barrack Obama over Republican challenger, Mitt Romney

The opening, slated for Wednesday evening boasts “light refreshments,” now a staple at Bloomberg events, as well a speech by Bellone and ‘Sopranos’actress Lorraine Bracco in an effort to drum up support for the long-shot candidate.

Considered by many as a reactionary candidate to democratic rival Bernie Sanders who has received a surge of support since launching his campaign. Bloomberg, aside from nominally positive news coverage, has yet to seriously define many of his ideas for moving the country forward and, despite his initial statement “I offer myself as a doer and a problem solver – not a talker,” at the launch of his campaign has instead engaged mostly in a lose-lose Twitter war with President Trump, as well as his fellow Democrats.
